Welcome Back?
A more personal reflection I would say…
Good morning, afternoon and evening to you all, and welcome back to my Substack.
This is a surreal feeling. No words can describe the wave of emotions I’m feeling right now. I am back in my world, and it has been a while, so let me catch you up on all that has transpired since my last post.
My last post on here was on the 11th May 2026, so about a whole month ago and wow, a lot has happened not only within my life but around the world as well. Let’s start off with my life first.
Exams and the pressure it curtails is second to none. I had an interesting exam season where I would say there are a lot of positives to take from it, yet the negatives are still aching today. I am trying to get over it, maybe it is the perfectionist attitude in me screaming, but I have become preoccupied with other things so slowly, it will creep out of my mind well until I get my results. I just thank God that it is over.
I grew a year older, and to be honest, it genuinely feels surreal. I don’t know how to explain it, but I really don’t feel like my age. I still think I’m younger than that, and I’ve just been cruising through, then all of a sudden, a year adds on. My birthday was interesting as I had my final exam, an exam in which I would prefer not to speak on EVER AGAIN, yet afterwards, I realised I have genuinely good people with good characters within my circle, and it has taught me friendship on a deeper level.
You may be thinking what am I yapping about but that evening, I felt so loved and cared for, especially as it was my first ever birthday with no immediate family around, and so I thank all those who made it so special. May God bless you!
I collected my gift from another friend of mine ( THANKS SO MUCH), a whole week late (I know, poor me), and they got me a running vest. A harsh reminder of my inconsistency with running, but I do hope that this gift will kickstart me getting back into something I love so dearly.
Away now from university exams and being a year older, I am now back home with family, and honestly, I feel free. Sounds mad, but some friends of mine could testify that I’ve just been saying I’m bored all this time, yet within this boredom, I have found peace. Just being able to be in the presence of family once again is really a blessing in disguise and a privilege that not many people have, so I also thank God for that.
Wrapping up my second year of university was a bit weird and emotional for me. A lot of the great people I have gotten to know, I won’t be seeing for the next year and by the time I come back to university, the majority of them will have graduated. I was starting to feel it, not gonna lie, yet I made a choice and choices come with sacrifices, and this was it.
So, a message to all those I may not see again or will not have the same experiences again, I wish them all the best and that the Lord will be with them and protect them through all their endeavours.
This Substack is looking like some sort of farewell post lol. I just wanted to share how much I appreciate all the guys this past academic year.
But onwards I charge!
In the next 2 weeks, I commence a new chapter in my life, and honestly, I cannot wait to begin. It is a blessing to have such an opportunity. The fact that it will have such a vital use to help further understand my ideas about the future is also something I’m thankful for. All praise be to the Most High!
That was the life segment of what has transpired this past month, but now I will briefly speak about the world, and I will start with the commencement of the World Cup that’s being hosted in the USA, Canada and Mexico.
Now that is a whole other topic that I’ll possibly look at properly in another post, especially with all the events happening around it, but from the football side of things, I am enjoying it.
Many, many things have occurred within the last month that I could mention today, yet each topic deserves its own article and its own breakdown.
So many things have caught my eye, but I shall not bore you with my long-winded explanations today, as I have said a lot already, but I will make sure to give my opinions on these things ASAP.
These include the murder of Henry Novak, the riots in Northern Ireland, SpaceX IPO, which made Elon Musk the world’s first trillionaire, and so many others.
So please be on the lookout for those, and as always, suggestions are much appreciated. Let me know what you think about today’s post in the comments, as I tried something different today.
Have a blessed week!

love the more personal takes. Good luck in your new season!!
best post so far imo, I especially loved the multiple expressions of gratitude woven throughout. May this gratitude always be a point of reference in this next season and the many more to come. Keep pressing on Emmanuel 🙌🏿 excited to see how far the Lord takes you 🙏🏿
